As the last month of summer is now upon us it has dawned on me that we have not been able to enjoy the summer quite as much as we normally do.
Yes, we've had to cancel many an event that relies on warm sunshiny days and yet we are the only ones complaining. The kids are still out there having fun and taking it all in for what it is, a decently nice summer day.
We were lucky enough to get the kids out to Breithupt park to enjoy the splash pad for our Birthday of the month celebration. There is nothing like a wet child with icing from cupcakes all over there face smiling up at you.
The best part could actually be that it wasn't any ones birthday so maybe we could just say we were celebrating the birth of summer and sunshine.
So because I'm a glass is half full kind of girl, here's to the rest of summer and all that it has to hold.
