The stockings were all hung, on the wall with care.. in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. And there he was, dancing with his reindeer!
momstown Kitchener-Waterloo families were delighted to find a hall full of fun surprises to celebrate the holiday season together, and with some local businesses too. Even in the middle of our first winter blizzard!
Moms, dads, kids and babies all enjoyed a variety of fun activities in our Elf Workshop. There were pipe cleaner candy canes, pom pom reindeers to craft and more.
Gingerbread House Making with
Andy Geschi (the chef in the red hat) was a popular spot, and not just for the moms and babes, dads too were rolling up their sleeves and building too. I am not sure who had more fun, the
Andy Geschi team or the families? Andy loves helping local families with their real estate needs and it showed with all fun being had with the Gingerbread Houses!
We also had Marcie from
Cake Lovers Unite on hand, helping our families create festive and fun cupcakes. And boy were they fancy! There was piping and fondant and lots of little extras to add to each little moist cupcake. You can see more of Marcie's goodies here on her
facebook page.

Along with our Elf Workshop, we also had a Santa's Marketplace, giving Moms the option to add some "wishes" to their Christmas Lists (with a little nudge nudge to dad).
Lynette from Stella & Dot had her jewelry and purses on display, showing moms that everyday practical jewelry doesn't have to be boring.
Hogg Mechanical wanted to ensure all our families had heat and efficient furnaces to get them through the winter, handing out FREE thermostats and installing Peaksaver Plus as well. Just in time for the ice storm and cold snap of winter!
Family Treasures also had some lovely gift ideas for mom, grandma, daughter, friend and more. Teresa had so many of her handmade and stamped pieces set up - and you can see them all here on her
Family Treasures Etsy Shop. I have some gift ideas in mind already beyond Christmas!
Monkeynastix, a momstown favourite was in attendance too with all their fun equipment, keeping the kids active and busy.
Monkeynastix is a fun, challenging, noncompetitive movement education fitness program for children ages 1-8. Check out their
website and
video to watch what actually happens in their classes. One of our lucky moms went home with a gift certificate for a
Monkeynastix Birthday Party!
Our families were definitely in the festive spirit and taking the time to enjoy their family time with us on this snowy, cold day. We love creating moments like these below that remain captured in time and remind us what family is really about. And of course, the joy of the season and our precious children. Because of this, we also support the
Tree of Angels to help families in the region that are less fortunate than we are. Thank you to the families that donated a new unwrapped gift or cash donation this year!
