This is the first book in a trilogy where an orphan is forced in to a twisted game where he must either lie or die. As the main character, Sage, moves from a rundown orphanage into a large palace, treachery and deceit begins to unfold chapter by chapter, twist by twist.Without giving away the biggest twist of all, this book was easy for our moms to relate to as we all live lives full of twists and turns; hopes and dreams.
Some of us had a difficult time finding the time to actually read the book, because, well, we're mothers with small children. But once we started reading it was hard to put the book down.
In summary, this was an easy and fun read for all ages and we are excited for the release of the second book, The Runaway King!
