When being a mom, everyday tasks can seem like climbing a mountain.
Like actually getting the baby down for a nap or getting your toddler
dressed.... But when faced with an actual mountain (or a simulation in the
form of an indoor wall) suddenly this task can seem a lot more
challenging.
For 4 lucky momstown KW moms last week, we were able to realize just how high we could climb. At the Wilfrid Laurier Athletic Complex, we were introduced to Kurtis, a student who made spiderman look bad, the way he could scale the wall without effort.
He pushed us through various routes
and encouraged us along the way. We even learned that you could successfuly and safely climb the wall while 5 months pregnant!
Some of us, not myself, made it to the
top! While others, (here is where I come in), proceed to fall and swing
back and forth on their harness. Either way, whether we conquered the
route or not we each felt a sense of accomplishment. Fears were
overcome, strength we didn't know we had came out but most importantly
we laughed!
Thank you to Jen O for sharing this fun night with us and being our guest blogger.
