A Treasure Hunt & Binoculars Craft for momstown KW Little Explorers at momstown Movers Program

We had a ton of fun this month with our "Little Explorers" theme at momstown Movers. 

We made paper tube binoculars!

 

First we had painted paper tubes ready to go, then we took a piece of paper and glued it around 2 tube to make the binoculars.

Then we decorated our binoculars with stickers, shapes, flower, glitter and markers.

Finally we added pipe cleaners to the outer sides to make a nice rope to use around our neck.

And to add to the explorer fun, we had a treasure hunt.

We had a list of fun things to find:

There were cute flash cards all over the place to find with our binoculars.

And we we found all the items on our list we had more fun playing with each other and all the fun toys available at the church.

Next week at momstown Movers we will be having a musically fun time with Music for Young Children!

Spaceships Fly at momstown Movers and Little Scientists Programs

Today momstown KW played with magnets at the Little Scientists portion of momstown Movers.

We used paper cut out in the shape of spaceships and decorated them.

Then we attached a paperclip to one end before picking them up with a magnet. The results was a magical, flying spaceship!

And who can resist parachute play! We bounced balls in the parachute and made a tent too. We even floated it in the air and as it landed we all pulled it on top of us like a blanket and pretended to sleep.

Next week at momstown Movers we are looking forward to an energetic morning of moving and grooving with our special guest speaker from Wee Wigglers!

Alphabet Play and The Letter V at momstown Movers in Kitchener-Waterloo

For the Alphabet Play portion of momstown Movers , we learned the letter V.

We read the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar 

Then we practiced our letters playing with a foam letter puzzle.

When we were all done, we sang the Alphabet Song!

Of course, there was a fun craft to celebrate the letter V as well.

The kids turned the letter V into a tasty looking carrot using construction paper and glue.

It was an enjoyable, easy craft to learn with.

And who could forget the fun times we had!

With all the toys and friends to play with the kids couldn't resist the play time we have at the end of mornings at momstown Movers!

The lids to the totes are always a hit to play row boat:)
