Then it was time for a tour through the conservatory. It was very much like a rainforest, warm, lush, and muggy. Some of the little ones were a bit scared of the bugs and butterflies, but still enjoyed watching from afar. We also learned that the butterflies will land on you, mistaking you for a flower if you stand still and wear brightly coloured clothes. Another highlight was the landscaping, the waterfalls were beautiful.

Butterfly Fun at the Butterfly Conservatory!
momstown KW teamed up with momstown Guelph, momstown Oakville, and momstown Milton for a trip to the butterfly conservatory this May. A great start was had by the kids when they got to colour their very own butterfly crowns, followed by circle time with a butterfly expert!

There are over 2000 Birds and butterflies at the conservatory. They are great entertainment for kids of all ages! There was also a special exhibit on owls for the kids to see. They had many owls an display and the kids were able to touch some real wings and look at some real scat! Of course they thought that was awesome even if not every mom did! momstown KW and friends finished off the day with more circle time featuring story time. It was a wonderful visit and I’m sure many of the moms will be re-visiting again soon!
