Job Description – Toddler and Pre-Schooler Event Co-ordinator
momstown KW is currently seeking a creative, self-motivated, and
energetic individual for a part-time position as an Event
Co-ordinator. In this exciting role you will help to co-ordinate & execute
fun and educational events and field trips for mothers and young children aged
0-6 years old - but specifically on our Toddler and Pre-Schooler programs and events.
Responsibilities:
- Event Co-ordination in General
- Creating and customizing events from designated momstown
curriculum
- Personally running & attending a minimum of 1 event per week: If
needed - renting facilities, buying
& prepping supplies (re-imbursed), running activities
- Act as a membership ambassador and liaise with
members
- General expectation to be an active member and attend events on a
regular basis.
- Be supportive of momstown KW organization through Social Media
(comment & like Facebook posts, retweet posts on twitter, comment &
share blogs)
- Be a part of the Focus Group (meet bi-annually & the planning
committee-monthly)
- More Specifically
- Plan/Run/Attend 1-2 event (s) per week (depends on the week and
activities running)
- Check Message Board daily for moderation and to add content to
encourage discussion
- Check calendar for comments on events
- Help with promotion & execution of major events that are member
based (Christmas, Easter and Halloween Parties, M2M Sale)
- Blogging
- Would love your input and creative ideas to support activities and
events!
- Plan/Run/Attend 1-2 event (s) per week (depends on the week and
activities running)
- Outgoing, dynamic leader who is creative, organized, highly
self-motivated!
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Vested interest in children and parenting
- Comfort with leading circle/storytimes and craft activities for
children
- Event planning background an asset, not mandatory
- Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle
- Having a toddler or pre-schooler aged child will be beneficial but not mandatory
Pay
Structure:
- Independent Contract work – paid monthly, flat rate
