momstown Kitchener-Waterloo gets Hippity Hoppity at Annual Easter Egg Party!

It's hard to believe that Easter is over and done with.
It seems like this holiday just hopped right up on us!

But with blue skies and warm Spring weather, momstown Kitchener-Waterloo
celebrated this fun holiday at our Hippity Hoppity Easter Party

Excited tots and families were lined up, dressed in their Easter best,
ready for the start of the party and a fun Easter Scavenger Hunt!
Clue by clue, families were led around to each station at our party!  We aren't sure who enjoyed the scavenger hunt more, the kids or the dads :)

There was the HUGE bouncy castle that even had some of the
parents bouncing around like the Easter Bunny!
Art Innovators sponsored our craft. They had the children drawing and coloring
Easter eggs onto a piece of sandpaper. The kids loved it and the effect was so neat!
We had mini golf and Pin the Tail on the Bunny!
Which really turned into a fun game of pin the fur on the bunny!

And of course Straight Thru Films and Photography
was there to take a cute Easter photo keepsake!

Here's just a few of our momstown cuties!

So hoppy to see that everyone had a great time!  Check out all our pictures from our Easter event on our facebook fan page.

Happy Easter from momstown KW

momstown Kitchener Waterloo Celebrates Easter with Eggsciting Hunts!

Its almost Easter time again so you can bet that momstown Kitchener-Waterloo have another Fantastic Eggsciting Easter Egg Hunt lined up!  It's our 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt and we never disappoint when it comes to the eggs, chicks and the easter bunny.

I know this one isn't white with big floppy ears just yet but he will be soon!
And we are lucky that we get to share this Easter with all kinds of these little Bunnies at Steckle Heritage Farm on April 6th.

Its only weeks before they look like this guy.  For the month of April, our theme is Baby Animals and we are going to see all kinds of them! Cows, mini-horses, chickens, roosters, sheep and rabbits.  Aside from playing with all the little furry animals, we will be scouring the barn for lots & lots of coloured Easter Eggs, crafting up some furry bunnies & ducks, sipping some warm drinks and saying cheese for the photographer!

Although this event isn't open to the public, you can sign up for a 2 Week Free Trial with momstown Kitchener-Waterloo and see what all the fun is about!

Want to see how awesome our previous Easter Egg Hunts were?  Kids love EASTER!
In 2010, we took over (literally) the new Little Tot Spot with our Eggciting Easter Egg Hunt and in then 2011, we scattered all over Busy Bees Playground with our Easter Eggstravaganza!

Easter Eggstravaganza!!

On Good Friday, momstown KW moms had their 2nd annual Easter Eggstravaganza!!

Since this was on Good Friday, it was a great opportunity to make this a family event and let Dads participate too.

All the famillies waited patiently in the coat area of Busy Bees Playground, waiting for me to yell Go!
With their Easter baskets empty and in-hand, they were all set for searching and finding all the Easter eggs they can find.  No limits, no restrictions, no empty eggs.  Just lots of eggs loaded (I wasn't shy with the treats) with goodies for them to find.

Yes, some of the older kids found more eggs faster BUT they shared.  I loved it.  They knew they had more eggs than the little ones and they went around sharing some of their findings.  Even if they had some encouragement from mom & dad, their sharing was still gracious and welcomed.  Even some of the latecomers were welcomed with eggs that were from over-filled pre-schooler baskets!

After all the hunting, it was time for an eggsciting snack!  Who could resist the colourful cupcakes sitting right in the middle of the tables.  Tables low enough for the kids to reach!  I made sure to remind moms & dads alike that Jennifer Lefler photography was waiting in the back to snap professional photos of our little bunnies and that they might want to hold off on the cupcakes.  Not all the kids were okay with the idea of waiting, especially my little Bunny. :)

Thanks to The Urban Cakery for making and baking all these lovely bunny-topped peanut-free cupcakes.  And the icing, not just any old icing, it was Butter Cream icing.  No expense spared here!
After lots of free playtime, picture-taking, cupcake eating, egg hunting and egg decorating, our Easter baskets were full and so were out tummies.  And full tummies around lunch time only means one thing, Tired Teddies.  As the famillies slowly streamed out of Busy Bees, you could see satisfication and sleepiness on all the little bunnies faces'.   A sure sign of yet another successful Easter Eggstravaganza!
