With Fire Prevention Week coming up (Oct 6-12), momstown KW got a hands on look at how to be ready and prepared for a fire! We ventured out and took a field trip to our local Firehall!
Fireman Adam and all the rest of the firemen were so great with the kids and helping to teach them.
With a hands on experience, the kids got to "test drive" the fire truck!
See and touch the tools! And help dress the fireman!
All these experiences will help each and everyone of the children and moms
stay calm and not be afraid the next time they are in an emergency.
Like seeing a fireman all dressed up and not being afraid of him!
They can be a little scarey looking with all their gear and breathing mask on.
Afterwards, we all got to sit down and watch a fun ABC movie about fire safety with Sparky the Fire Dog! This was the calmest and quietest the children ever were during this field trip!
