momstown KW Kiss, Kisses Good Night at Baby Basics

Each month, momstown literacy sponsor, Scholastic donates 

a baby safe book to the Baby Basics program! 

This weekly program is the perfect place for moms with babies under a year old 

to get together and chat and bond, while creating their baby's first piece of art 

or learning about a topic relavent to their changing bodies or growing babies! 

This month, Scholastic donated Kiss, Kiss Good Night by Kenn Nesbitt. 

Surely this months winners will be curled up tonight reading this bedtime poem 

all about how mommy animals say good night to their little ones. 

Baby's 1st Halloween with momstown KW

Though, the little monsters running around the momstown KW Halloween Party were super adorable, there is nothing cuter than a tiny baby all dressed up for their first Halloween! 

So, momstown KW held a Baby Basics: Baby's 1st Halloween Party!

There were pumpkins, tigers and elephants! 

There was even Cabbage Patch Kids, Superbabies and ladybugs! 

Probably the cutest Halloween party ever held! 

Each member recieved a baby loot bag filled with diapers and coupons and there 

was even a DELICOUS assortment of Halloween treats for the moms to enjoy! 

After everyone was introduced, the babies roamed free to play in our 

Halloween Sensory Pit filled with fun and interesting Halloween toys and items

and our Ball Pit of Doom, which "devoured" the babies (wink)

The momstown KW Baby Basics program is a wonderful way for moms to interact 

with each other as well as giving their babies a fun and stimulating environment too. 

This weekly program rotates between a guest speaker and a craft! 

This week, the craft was a fitting Halloween footprint craft 

making those tiny toes into ghosts and witches!
