From Grand River Inflatables: (one of our favourite Birthday sponsors!)
The first thing I hear when I tell people I
work at Grand River Inflatables and Games is “You must love your job --
surrounded by all that fun!” And of
course I do. It is easy to get
distracted by all the amazing units we have.
My current favourite is the Horse Derby.
(You cannot help but laugh when you bounce along on the inflatable
horses racing against your colleagues), but the Boom Blaster is a close second!
As much as we love fun and games, GrandRiver Inflatables and Games’ number one priority is providing safe, quality
units for your children. How do we keep
children safe? By continually inspecting
our units, training our staff, and always, always cleaning. Every time a bouncer is setup we disinfect
and vacuum and again when the bouncer returns to the shop, we do the same
procedure all over again.
All that cleaning, training and inspecting
is worth it when we receive comments like this from our customers and partners “A special moment for me this year was
watching a young boy (maybe age 4) walk up to the welcome desk. He had a Spiderman t-shirt, cap and backpack,
and when he caught sight of the Spiderman
bouncy castle, he was positively overcome. It was all he could do to point, wide-eyed,
in his excitement! His parents
beamed—it’s the kind of magic that only your team can provide!” (from David
Schooley, Broker, the Going HOME team).
We
have so much fun here….from our first contact with many of you on the phone or
by email to our operations staff that setup the bouncers and interacting with
parents and children! The very best part
of my day (other than playing on the units!) is on Monday mornings when I open
my emails and start receiving thanks from the weekend’s events.
How can you not love receiving a picture

How
to ensure a successful event – from backyard birthday party to corporate event,
the ingredients are the same.
-
Ask around for
recommendations. If you attend a great
festival or birthday party ask the host/organizer for their suppliers (often
you or your contact can receive a referral discount). Excellence has a way of being noted, and
word of mouth is the best recommendation.
-
When you speak to
a supplier, pay as much attention to the questions asked as to the answers
given. A professional organization will
ask questions that are designed to find out what you want to accomplish with
your event. They want to translate your
vision into a reality.
-
Do not skimp on
safety. Ensure your suppliers have all the appropriate safety and insurance
details in place.
-
Plan in Advance -
While we can often accommodate last minute requests, your very best practice is
to plan in advance.
Thank you to momstown Kitchener-Waterloo for allowing us to be
part of your KW family. We are loving
the ride!

This would be perfect for the corporate event we have coming up. I am thinking, a giant birthday theme event. We do have a lot of birthdays this month, including the CEO's so it all goes together.
