Kitchener-Waterloo Celebrated Big at the momstown KW 5th Birthday Bash!

I am so exicted about our momstown KW Big Birthday Bash that I am going to share this blog with you with just our sneak peek photos!  Turning 5 is a big deal, whether you are a business or child, its a big milestone.  So, we made sure we had all the usual elements of a great birthday party!

Before I show you all the fun everyone else had at our birthday, check out Clifford the Big Red Dog and I sharing a hug after a great day :)

Then the fun began to get all our anxiously-waiting families (300+) registered and into the action.  You can see me here with a mouth full of wristbands trying to ensure every mom was banded to win one of our many raffle prizes.

Happy Birthday to us with a huge thanks to our National Sponsors like Today's Parent, Kids CBC, Scholastic Canada, Britax, Fisher-Price and the Canadian Red Cross.

We were lucky enough to have 2 Birthday Bouncy Castles provided by Grand River Inflatables to keep the little ones smiling and giggling :)

 The kids loved the chance to sit down and build, construct and configure with building blocks from Sunlife Financial.

And what's birthday without cake or cupcakes right?  Candy Coated had a Sweet Display to show off their Theme Party talents and bragged with momstown branded cupcakes.  300 + of them, all pretty and were eaten up in minutes!

Face Painting is another popular activity for the little ones and a definite hit at any party right?  Bre Creative is a returning sponsor and as always, painted stellar work on lots of waiting little faces.

Kindermusik is one of our favourite partners here in Kitchener-Waterloo and we were so happy that they could join us on our special day.  Look at this little girls delight when she made music :)

There has to be toys at a 5 year old's birthday, there just does.  Fisher-Price was so excited to have all the kiddies playing with their toys that they were sure there was enough for everyone to play with!  And then, 8 lucky families randomly won a toy each to take home.

Parachute time is one of our favourite activities at momstown.ca and Sportplay makes a part of their programming too.  Doesn't this look like fun, trying to keep all the little balls on the parachute?

I love the moment in time that is captured here in this photo.  I wonder if Picasso ever stopped to ponder his next creation with a paintbrush in hand?  Looks like a true budding artist here getting messy at our Picasso's in the Park paint activity :)

Chapters in Waterloo is a big supporter of momstown KW and then didn't want to miss our party either!  They wanted to encourage the importance of early literacy and had fun with family Storytime.

This only showcases just some of our awesome vendors, sponsors and acitivities for the day.  We had something for everyone in the family!  I am so glad that we had A Flash of Class on hand to capture the sheer joy shining on everyone's faces throughout the day. 

We are already busy planning our birthday bash for next year, with many changes to accomodate our growing celebrations!  Events like this are not possible without a team of volunteers that gladly give up their time to make sure all our families are having as much fun as possible.  A huge thank you to all of them xox

Even with a huge successful celebration this year, I have to say that Big Birthday Bashes is not just what momstown is about and planning huge birthday parties is not our specialty - connecting moms, early education programming and providing a support system that builds friendships is what we do, who we are and what we do best.  Our Big Birthday Bash party is just an added bonus for everyone in our communities to celebrate with us.  And celebrate we did!
