If wishes were kids, there'd be no more frowns.
If wishes were moms, they'd all be at momstown!
If there is one thing momstown Kitchener-Waterloo and Chapters Kitchener have learned
from all the children in our lives, it's that children have some of the strangest and silliest suggestions
and by far the most creative imaginations and today was no exception.
Our book this month was all about children and those wild imaginations of theirs.
Wishes, by Jean Little, is a charming picture book celebrating all of the wishers and dreamers in the world and entertained both our moms and tots with its bouncy rhymes about everyone's favorite wishes -
from puppies to pancakes; and sundaes and snowflakes.
But before our moms and tots had a chance to dream up their wildest dreams and wishes,
everyone got to create their own Wish Pocket and fill it with a wish.
It has been said, that these Wish Pockets are full of good luck and good fortune,
and that any wish that is put inside will come true!
Well, we're not quite sure who had more fun designing, gluing and coloring the wish pockets.
Was it the moms, dads or tots?
After a fun filled morning of flowers, stickers, sparkle and glue
everyone had their own wish pocket to fill with their wishes!
Some wished for puppies, others for toys, while a few wished for sleepy car ride home.
Scholastic even made one wish come true this morning!
Henry was our lucky winner this month
and got to bring "Wishes" home with him
to share with his friends and family!
So don't forget to join
on the 2nd Wednesday of every month
for Tales for Tots and momstown Monet
and let your imaginations soar!
